Field guide
Our most exceptional teas
These are the teas we are proudest of: rare cultivars, painstaking hand processing and flavor that keeps unfolding over a long, slow session. Many come from tiny lots that won't be repeated in the same way next year.
Where to begin
- The story tea: Lily of the Valley, a bug-bitten Da Ye oolong from Luye, Taiwan, with a silky, syrup-like texture. Read about helping to make it.
- Rare cultivars: Silver Dragon, Ying Xiang, Da Man Zhong, Qin Yu and Cui Yu.
- Roasted and honeyed: Fo Shou and Wuyi Golden Nectar.
- Aged oolong and a rare black tea: the 10-Year Aged oolong and the Strip-rolled "Big Leaf".
Questions
Do these make good gifts?
Yes. Pair one with a Cloud Celadon tea cup or our celadon tea set.
How should I brew them?
Gongfu style, with a small gaiwan and short steeps, brings out the layers these teas are prized for.
